Is there any way to manipulate (move) a meshes origin point? (The small orange circle). I prefer moving that to moving the whole mesh in edit mode, then moving the whole object back to its original position.
You mean like in UE4 when you move something with the move tool and then press Shift to bring the camera along while you're moving the object? Or do you just want to orbit around the object while moving it? Please clarify your use case. As far as I know you can only do viewport navigation while using a tool with the knife…
IS it possible to move or orbit camera around while modyfying components? edit:oh man, I just figured it out... EDIT: oK NO, i DID NOT..i GUESS IT'S NOT POSSIBLE..tHIS CAN BE QUITE FRUSTRATINg... I can't believe you can move or rotate the camera while moving objects...-_-
This was fixed! The monitor icon has been moved to alt-clicking the eye icon now, too. Which for how confusing it was to a lot of users, might be a good move.
Yes it will change, if you create 1024 texture the uv space will be 1024. If you are doing this with unwrapping and object to have multiple UDIMs a good trick is that you can multiply this number to move the UV. If you type G X * 256*2 it will move 512 across on X and so on for other multiples. You can see how far you are…
Qucik question, i am quite annoyed with how blender handles moving objects. When creating a cylinder for example, if i move it, transform it or scale it, i loose the ability to decrease or increase segments. any ways around it?
Agreed, like functions should be next to each other on the keyboard. There is a reason why max uses q,w,e,r,t for the different transform tools, because you can switch with a finger move not a hand move.
