Oh, I totally forgot to post here: https://polycount.com/discussion/235168/greentooth-generator-triangle-counter-for-blender I made a Greentooth generator and triangle counter in Geometry Nodes. Free to download!…
I assume this is the correct place to ask. I don't have a technical question or modeling problem right now. I was just thinking, what's Blender's standing like these days?I remember that it seemed to be mocked quite a bit in the past, and generally considered quite inferior. With things like the sculpt mode changes and…
@Rima Generally yes, Blender is a very competent modeling package these days, I use it as well as several other artists I work with. I've switched off 3DS max completely, but still use Maya for work. The only real complaint myself and a lot of other people seem to have is the UV editor needing some love so it's less obtuse…
Quad view in 2.5 can be done via the NKey>display panel>toggle quad view or Ctrl-Alt-Qkey Any changes you make can be saved and generally should be forward and backwards compatible. (The forward/backward compatibility broke with 2.5x from 2.49 due to the massive changes under the hood, but generally it is the case).
2.59 Has been officially released: http://www.blender.org/development/release-logs/blender-259 Mostly a ton of bug fixes, but some features as well: Support for 3D mice A large improvement to user keymaps An ivy generator (that actually looks really impressive) A tree generator Scatter brushes for scattering lots of…
I created a proposal for this a while back: http://dim.blenderge.com/Documents/componentGroupProposal.pdf I was flatly wrong about a couple of things, but my general point still stands.
Are they incapable of using Google? Not to get pissy but I imagine that "3dsmax smoothing groups" would generate a lot of useful information for them complete with screen shots, videos, examples, etc.
Hello all, Is there some clever way to see UV orientation (and possibly density as well) as a viewport mode/overlay ? I am aware that Textools has a bunch of checker generators (all sneakily hidden behind a *single* button ! Bad UX, BAD !) ; and I also use my own checker texture (here indicating UV direction with arrows…
