yeah but the thing is, in many cases setting up SGs is just way faster than selecting all border edges by hand, but all this could be done in script. In Blender and Max. it could be even case sensitive, if you select faces it will do it on the border edges if you select edges it will apply a standard value to those edges.…
Mongrelman: Does not really help me, since it's to random with me painting over I need it to be uniform. And not being able to relax the borders makes it almost useless.
@joebount > you can used the shorcut C (Circle Select) ; it's like the Paint Selector or use the operator Border Select -B shortcut- you draw a rectangle select.
Hi, I'm new to blender. How can I set edges to be hard/soft like in maya ? How to do this on UV borders? EDIT: I think I figured it out. 1. Viewport need to be shade smooth 2. Auto Smooth On 3. Select edges and set Mark Sharp ...and for uv borders, at UV editing panel UV> seams from island (with all edges/faces selected)…
Does anyone know if there's a chance of getting a proper uv relax tool inside blender? The minimize stretch tools does something along those lines but pins the borders. Have I been missing something?
