I got another feature request as well : I love your "Hide group content in layer mode" option. but i think that this can be improved to --> "Hide group content in layer mode when the group is closed". This way users will be able to show the group content just by opening the group, and they will be able to hide the content…
The code that opens the window ought to prevent this from happening, but apparently it needs reviewing. Check out the known issues section of the Outliner's website (3rd bulletpoint).
@Revel: I've tried to replicate the issue when dragging a max file into 3dsmax. It seems to work just fine for me...open, merge and xref cause no problems. Quite strange...
Yeah, makes me wonder if community energy shouldn't be directed towards open projects (aka Blender). Anyway, Outliner2 is already so great, i use it every day.
Great Tool, you should write down, that you can set shortcuts manually via Customize > Cust. User Interface > "Open/Close Outliner" for all people won't set it to "H" by the install routine.
does this work with max 2011? I've tried versions 2.0.7 and 2.0.8 previously and both didn't work for me. I added open/close outliner to my quad menu, but when selected nothing pops up...?
I can echo this. Tried learning/experimenting with the C++ SDK and spent more time wrangling with it than actually doing stuff. Havent messed around too much with Python. Thanks for making this open source btw!
@Nysuatro What Max version are you using? cus I tried here using Max 2011 x64, having TexTools open and drag Outliner out from the docking position (left and right) it's all fine. _Revel
