I think the answer to this one is looking for some traditional art classes :) Learn those sexy fundamental techniques and "rules" that can be used to help improve on your handpainting skills. This is something I lack hardcore :(
Yes that is true, originally I am a 2d artist and I havent had chance to draw since college. Which is why my dream job is to do handpainted textures for an MMORPG game/company then on the side I can just do 2d!
