Yeah like I said in the WAYWO thread, you've nailed a lot of the important details of the Luger quite well, including the action. Really solid work. Looking at it now, the one thing that really looks like it could use some adjustment is the width of the bolt--the part as extends out from the elbow joint (the round bit you…
thanks again Gauss for your invaluable feedback. I changed the serial number to 1940, softened up the grip texture, and basically did the texture last night and this morning. spent some time taking beauty shots and coming up with a nice way of presenting everything
http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=68125 thank Peter & Charles ;) edit:I used that at work to "render" (animation > make preview) a highpoly 360° animation of a car's components exploding and coming back together, worked fine for 2m tri's on a shitty laptop.
sh*t...thanks, yeah I dunno whats going on here with imageshack, they might come back but on but I'll move em over to drropbox soon edit. alright there we go, I relinked all the main images from dropbox and resaved them at maximum quality, so now theres very little if any noticeable artifacts. :)

Yeah if its no trouble I would appreciate a few detail shots, whatever you wouldnt mind uploading. and you're right, there were a few parts that took some extra thought figuring out. Its wierd too, at first…

So as a workaround and stress saver I just went for the tangent space. I dont believe it would mess with animations. Only if the model deformed would…

That particular pistol is a bring-back from the Normandy invasion, a really incredible piece that I had the honor to detail strip (hunting for a little rust on the frame, a little curating effort on my part). Aside from the…
