Yeah, tesselation looks cool in all those uniengine demos, but to me it´s more an evolved version of normal/displacementmaps. What you see in the Atomontage videos however, that really looks like a whole new language. What I´d like is not for bricks to pop out more but rather a less restricted way of working.
just give it a couple of years.. you never know. that guy says 16 months for release. i hardly believe anything comparable with what we see in our games now will be ready based on what he shows there BUT you never ever know. pretty much that is how long such "experiments" last. maybe if he asks one of the amazing artists…
