I will suggest to split your "Edit UV" button in 2 buttons "Edit UV1" and "Edit UV2" :) and why not add some quick access button like "uv1=uv2" or "uv2=uv1" or "uv2>uv1" or "uv2>uv1" There is a way to have "Split" button only on selected shell? Thanks for the update
update: fixed all addressed issues: download TexTools_3.95.mzp addressed and fixed:* The faulty Roadkill no import with changes, so now you can assign ANY FOLDER! The problem was with with urls containing spaces - but I fixed that. * Max2009 roadkill support, for max2009 some of the OBJ exporter modification was not…
Airbrush & RenderHjs : I think that the "sort" option must sometime respect the original rotation of selected shells. Rotating them is not usually the best thing at a given moment. Maybe using the right-click for a "Sort using actuall shell orientation" can be a good idea. What i do actually in my everyday workflow is :…
The Split button takes your smoothing groups and sets your uv seams at the hard edges. The UV-Island->Smoothing Group is in the little 'Tools' rollout above the Edit UV button. Are you using the "Smoothing groups from UV Shells" under this toolset?
Tumerboy & frwanque - thanks. I need to get used to using that edit button on the panel I suppose. The edge/vert align that's used in that top panel fixes the issues of the "linear" button in the toolbar, so I'm wondering if that's just a redundancy, renderhjs? thanks again.
Bit of a feature request; crop to shortest dimension. Meaning you can set up textures that tile in one direction and have a long, thin UV island be fitted so that it fills the 0-1 space in the shortest dimension, but tiles in the long one. It's possible to do it manually, but a button to do it would be a lot easier.…
Thanks Renderhjs for the fix. -What about the problem with the "check" button exposed into my first post. Actually if i use the check button i must re assign the original shader after wich is not really friendly. -An other problems found : if you call textools with a macro script without selecting any object. maxscript…
how and what? The split by smoothing groups is already build in and is the default behavior of the 'split' button when clicked with the left mouse button. The opposite which is creating smoothing groups based on the UV edges is also already written and will be included in the next release- or as a separate script available…
