The lighting isn't the lighting I'll be going with. I lost my old LUA file with the set up I had so this is an old one I was testing. Anyway, here are the rocks in-game: And here's the old ones for comparison:
Sweet! Dig the new rocks a lot more then your previous ones. I like the haze. Makes it look way more like an old photo and makes the colours more soothing for the eyes. The old one had to much contrast imo.
Great call on the scale! I've updated the old image I posted on the last page, but here's a comparison. The differences are minor but the impact is quite noticeable. Good idea!
I agree with mistry. It does look great! May I ask your reasoning for not liking your old rock faces? I remember a few months back, I used to idolize those rocks! :P
Hey adam... great thread. I was curious as to how you went about getting the atmospheric fog in the editor. I'm shooting for something similar in my "Old Bait Shop" Scene. Amazing progress so far!
bbob the pic i posted here is a bit old. I took it to show some friends I like better than you guys.* They've already been changed to be more fitting - good catch though! *hahaha, im kidding.
The reason for the update was simple: The old ones, while using a fast technique didn't catch light very bad and made them look like, well, not rocks. The new ones, being planar and light catching should hopefully read more as natural rocks.
