I really love your attention to details on all the small things in the scene, awesome work. A small suggestion is to give the rocky areas a higher resolution texture, they stick out from underneath the nice foliage you got ontop of it! Btw i love your trees, awesome stuff, did you zbrush those or did you stick to your main…
If the foreground blurring is going to be texture blurring only, and not soft edges on the models, are you going to keep it? I think the environment is lovely, but the blurring stuff sticks out like a sore thumb that something is not right.
TBH, if this is your own concept (and not the company concept you work at) good practice is to model your own tree, rather than using a speed tree modeler. (I just over looked and figured that it is another scheme for lazy people) :D Like it is pretty much telling you, if you cant make trees we will make one for you or…
I completely disagree about the camera not feeling "paranoid" and it needing to scan or pan back and forth. Personally I thought it was pretty comical which fits the style adam is going for, and I knew exactly what he was trying to accomplish with that animation. I'm actually glad you didn't decide to do a typical slow…
Hmm! It's been a plan to explore different types of blends but for now while I am moving forward I'll stick with the two blends I'm already using*. I'm not convinced the rocks NEED that sort of texture blend happening on them but if they do, I'll add them in to the material. *Part of my goal was to investigate modulated…
I'm loving where it's going right now. Since issues with lighting are moot, the only things I can see that stick out are a few texture seams on the rocks and some real jagged geometry on the rock edges. (forgive me if those issues have previously been addressed, I haven't read all 8 pages). Several of the rock walls have…
