A modifier to turn any geometry into a cutter (Outline) than can be used in my cutting modifier, currently using open edges will be extended to any edge selection.
Tiny script for Max that displays at the top of the viewport the currently selected object type/name/modifier/sub-object level. Useful when modeling in 'Expert Mode' : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4210886/g_vpSelectionInfo.mcr Modify tab must be active before entering expert mode for it to list the current modifier.
ah, gottcha. Maxscript help didn't mention that :shifty: have you tried not using the modifier name, something like: $.modifiers[1].amount = 43 I've run into problems in the past trying to use modifier names. EDIT: Also try it this way maybe: ext = Extrude() addModifier $ ext ext.amount = 43
thought i'd implement the mnmesh(poly mesh) MakeBoolean and BooleanCut routines into a modifier.... https://youtu.be/i2cAZhUN90U the hidden cutter (a cylinder on a path constrain) and base is on a sine wave controller with modifier set to difference
made a maxscript that lets you control the bend modifier you can choose the final width and snap to a grid (great for making modular arcs in udk) https://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/advanced-bend-modifier
started work on a max normal manipulation modifier(see the prototype) uses a simplified ( 18 ) vector field to modifier an objects normals, though I'm struggling for a suitable snappy name (i already use theNormalizer for something else :poly118: )
