Animation Portfolio
I was referred to this site by a friend. I am working on my animation demo reel and could use some critiques on it if anyone is willing. I am job hunting at the moment but figured that I might as well make my reel better while I hunt around. My website is glassanimation.com. Any notes would be helpful, thanks a lot. -

I enjoyed the animations, and agree that "You want me to come over there" is your strongest scene. My only crit for the portfolio is maybe work on some more refined drawings for your sketches section to replace some of the less detailed ones you already have up. Of course, animation isn't my focus and I have no portfolio… -

nice stuff going on there. What stood a bit out was the last sequence with the guy and the tv. You should track your arcs, because you can see that the hands are animated in ik. They look a bit noisy in some situations. -

Hey, there's some good stuff in there. I'm not an animator, but my first impression was that the "You want me to come over there" is your strongest scene. Unfortunately, it cuts short. The next best is the "Look stupid in front of the other guests" scene. I found the television scene dull and too long. -

Geez, just type it in... Pretty good demo reel, though I'm not digging the whole gray background throughout the whole thing. What really stood out for me was the second scene but I felt it ended a bit early. I really wanted to see him throw a punch in there. The walk cycle part is a bit long. Keep up the good work. -

Yah the hyperlink is incorrect. Need to take out the polycount address in it. And think your title for the thread needs to be fixed to fit with the guidelines set by polycount. http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=54279 The content of your portfolio looks pretty good. The flash may cause issues for some people… -
