This was one of the first environmental decisions to be made for the "medi atheranian" region, red rock and green grass to create a nice awesome contrast, it needs to feel nice and warm and cozy, because it also is a contrast to the rest of the world.
the speedlines are just a posteffect in unreal, thats pretty simple, the only thing thats photoshop are the motionblurred rotors as i currently have no motion on them and are not yet sure how i'd techincally create them. thank you very much guys, your comments are very welcome :D damn its monday...
If you look closely you can see seams. My guess... this is a cube with 4x4 faces on each side, Sphereify modifier to create roundness, then non-uniform scaled and soft-select edited into an ellipsoid shape. If you look where the original cube edges would be, you can see UV discontinuities.
woha I'd love to work on some flying dynamics :D the clouds look really good but I wonder if they could be done procedurally and on the fly to avoid repeating (dunno about vertex movement in UE3 but I'd basically create one textured sphere and have the vertexes be moved in random directions and smooth out the result)
Hey Neox,love the work you did on the npc lady, just not sure about the second chin though. It feels like she's pulling her head back creating the second chin rather than it being there because she's overweight. Feels a bit forced at the moment. I hope I make any sense.
