I actually really enjoy ZBrush's interface. The only thing that annoys me is the Ctrl-S not saving a document AND ztl at the same time and stuff like that
I bet they continue with this whole 2.5D crap and the worst interface in the world. They'll add about 10 massive features but ignore the root problems. I'd love to be wrong.
Let's make some broken interface guesses!! More seriously I find it quite sad that they qualify their product as being a revolution, but never addressed the wagon of bugs that 3.1 still has. Oh well...
Why is debating about production apps a bad thing? If people didn't talk about likes and dislikes nothing new would ever come out. Zbrush and Modo and all the new innovative software that's constantly being developed are all because people wanted to new ways of doing things and didn't want to have to settle for whatever…
well it was kinda a revolution at version 1.5 or so when everyone started using it for 3d sculpting but now its just current tech. I wonder if they will challenge 3dcoat on the voxel front, or just redesign the interface those would be top of my list :), theres not even a hint at what new tools they are proposing.
i hated zbrush interface for about a week, now its fine you it feels right to me. i dont know for sure but i would guess zbrush is more widespread in the game industry than mudbox. but again just a guess on what i've seen and heard. and witht he current free updates i would buy it in a cinch for my company (if i had one)
I really don't think Pixologic listened to the game industry user base enough when it had the chance. They essentially ended up creating their own competition by not addressing problems some users had with the interface and tool system. Weta may still have gone on to create Mudbox anyway, but I don't think nearly as many…
I'm surprised at all of the anger in this thread, I didn't realize people were still having trouble with the interface...I mean you pretty much press import and start sculpting. And as far as software companies go pix is doing pretty good IMO, I mean updates are released for free and they release incremental tools after a…
