felipefrango: You could place a camera and enable the DOF preview - it won't continually update, but for still shots from the viewport it does the job.
Alright I think it is just a 2010 bug. Haven't tested with 2009. Under viewport configuration apparently enabling hardware shading turns alpha into 1-bit. if unchecked then 8-bit is fine. downside is no shadows of course.
ah very cool thanks alot didnt know that was even there, I take it you enable hardware antialiasing on your 3dcard in order to get that in the viewport? also theres no sharpen post process fx, be nice to get that marmoset look huh?
Works Great Dude, I can't believe I'm just seeing this now. The shadows don't seem to be working in Max 2010 though, and If you turn on the realtime shadows by enabling hardware it messes up alpha maps. No big deal though, Great Work!
I just tried it, looks fine if I do the same thing as you. I do get a smiliar effect if i turn on Normalmap without a map in the slot. In that case that is supposed to happen, since it uses some random value when there is no map in the slot. So: don't enable maps if you don't fill their slots.

thanks for the nice words guys. Hopefully this will allow users to take realtime illustrative rendering one step further. Probably a bit yes. Shouldn't be extreme compared to other stuff: enabling 3 instead of 1 lights is heavier, for example. With a GeForce GTX280 I get no FPS hit whatsoever when HueAdjust is on. But yeah…
Thanks xoliul here is a render whit max 09 whit no shadow i got the ati bug and cant get rid of it... also i tried it in max 2011 it loaded a few times but everything was too dark and now the shader wont load i dont know why.... error loading file? EDIT: I got it too work in 2011 but ass soon as i enable hardware shading…
