The navy does not prevent me from holding a pencil to a sheet of paper. Lack of drawing abilities do that, lol. I want to be able to, I just don't have the ability. I try to draw stuff, but for the life of me I just can't make it look like anything. I have plenty of images of things in my head that i'd like to be able to…
Yes thats a good point demon princess, try to take obsevational drawings of the things around you, your in the navy right? There must be alot of intresting stuff on a warship or in the barracks, although i high recomend that you dont try the womens showers lol, that situation will get nasty very quickly lol try the sunset…
keep at it... chuck jones said there's around 10000 crappy drawings in an artist... you need to get those out of your system before you get to the good ones :) Oh... and for some of us, including me, the number is probably closer to 50000.
remember that not all the 3d artwork starts off being awesome because the person is good at 3d....traditional skills go a long way in this career....and being on a boat in the navy im sure theres plenty of people to observational draw from each day. Hope to when you learn 3d you artistic ability will be there to back it up…
