ya node based from what I see... and so is ShaderFX, which just released a free version of itself along with a bunch of youtube instructional videos... perhaps you should view those! If you want video tuts on unreal 3 shaders it looks like you will have to purchase them. but if you can handle text, they have the wiki and… -

to really code shaders and access their shadersystem in detail, I think you need a full commercial license.
