I go one step further, and type some code that produces a teapot automatically, and the teapot in turn generates and runs its own code. Then I go and make a coffee, and when I come back, the teapot has produced whatever I required.
My workflow is as follows: Type some code. Create a teapot. Run the code. Type more if necessary. Sorry if that is useless but I seem to be getting my work done fast enough, so I thought everyone in the entire world could benefit from it.
So far you have actually failed to acknowledge or even try to come to terms with anything anyone here has said, it seems like you're just ignoring everyone and furiously fighting a defensive that you have thrown yourself into? Looking at your post history, you come off as quite a troll. Having one post of valid (if badly…
Yeah you say you think you're doing this a bit backwards and i would tend to agree. It is possible to get some decent results from doing the lowpoly first, but i really wouldn't recommend it. Really the only reason i've ever seen that made any sense to do this, is some people needed to have their lowpoly finalized, uved,…
Your posts come across as extremely self important. 'MY CRITS ARE JUST SCIENCE, PUNY HUMANS, I RESPECT YOUR SILLY ART GAMES BUT...' kind of a thing. People generally have to demonstrate a lot of art skill before anyone tolerates b1ll/per douchery in posting style.
By the way that flow redirection thing I posted, I use it for oraganics, and lowpoly ingame meshes. I think that when it comes to straight mechanical modelling (EQ straight guns stuff) I have to do this way less. As an example : I use that technique alot when trying to find the best loops for a deformable face model.…
have you ever tried to actually go with form and function equally? How can you just claim that for anything to be plausible it has to look like shit? same for the guy who made the claw hammer comment. It just comes off as ignorant. Just explain to me by what authority you make this claim.
i totally agree, i really try to blend fantasy and reality to come up with new and interesting idea's and some times pulling a wild design back with a touch of real world helps things no-end, but you should present this as opinion, not as fact, because this is where the subjectivity lies. and if people disagree with you…
Its all fair game. I think what he's saying is that its hard to find a point to your post. All i've managed to come out with after reading is that you have no idea what you're doing. If you can write up some specific issues your having, or specific things you're doing that you think are stupid, it would be easier to…
