nice sketch swiz, for the face though, you might want to change the angle of her head so it's not a direct face-on stare at the viewer. maybe nsfw example 1 maybe nsfw example 2 maybe nsfw example 3
Is neat, though if you're not aiming for lowpoly you might bevel the edges and chip up the geometry here and there; as for the texture, maybe it's just me, but I'd give it more contrast, example (maybe not so saturated) Harry: yes. Gav: wicked :)
You cannot use attachments on these forums, if you would like to show an image, you need to host it somewhere and link to it using tags. For example: [ img ]http://www.blabla.com/blabla.jpeg[ / img ] (remove the spaces inbetween the brackets etc. If you need somewhere to upload images and get the URL, try imageshack:…
Yeah. I've been looking at alot of WoW textures, aswell as some of the Egyptian colour pallettes from Age of Mythology and TF2 (the Egypt level) I really love the style of WoW, and it is a really good example of what you're saying. The geometry is sharp, and the textures are really soft. Anyway, here's what I've done now.
Woah JI this transluency shader looks impressive! I'm usually not a huge fan of the "balloon filled with water" kindof look that overdone transluency often gives, but your take on it looks great. Can't wait to see that applied to thin wing membranes, crystals, or even just to nicely present a sculpted model like on your…
IIRC UT3 cannot force AA because of the deferred lighting used+DX9. (Just like GTAIV, for example). Not 100% sure it's THE reason tho. Maybe it's possible using supersampling, but I dont know if it'll work in-editor. Btw Adam, the robot is great but the enviro behind is not the best I've seen from you. Lighting is a bit…
RickFX, do you mind a crit? The pillar itself looks new - fresh off the plastic mould - like it's just been caked with grime and broken into chunks. Then pieced back together. It might benefit from a more uniform erosion - for example, how can it suffer such fractures, yet the vertical grooves and cylindrical lathes remain…
I've updated my toon/comic shader (now v0.5) - rebuild the rimlight based on my tf2 v0.21 shader - fixed some bugs - added more tuning options, esp. the ramp can now be easier controlled. - added ambient cube map support you can download it here again.. only tested in max 8 / 2008 (32bit) DOWNLOAD v0.5 example ramp…
Also working on a TF2 poster for the competition, so far I've got most of the type laid out as well as a backdrop for a picture I plan on drawing. I'm thinking either a demo chasing a scared, fleeing soldier or a soldier in the fetal position surrounded by sticky bombs. Also gonna add a tagline much like "Kill a Soldier…
