Got some free time tonight, think the face is more recognisable now. :P Many thanks to swizzle for the paintover - I guess I need to work on doing another 20 faces before I try eyeballing things. :p
trying to figure out an effective way to do hair alpha like this: . although polycount isn't so much of an issue as this is an instanced boss, who's about 20 foot tall, so the detail is kind of warrented. i wouldn't mind any tips on how to get it down.
yea Swizzle i started off doin that as it was just a major inspiration for me doing it in the first place... thats why its just a thumbnail thingy.. i will do about 20 more designs ! so no worries ;) oh and it will have 4 legs! as its easier to animate for me ;( oh and thanks everyone! <3
no what I meant was just lay your pic over the photo. its just tough to paint from a photo , kinda guessing proportions. also in my experience, get loads of photos at lest 20 and take the comparisons an board on your pic the right side of his face slopes too much. To me MJ fox is all cheekbones and nostrils?:)
JasonLavoie: umm, started of as a highpoly sculpt, but now im gona bake it to lowpoly n all of that. 20 or so more days till the main event, so should be enough time to finish him. obson: very nice. small update. just did the helmet prety much. sorry for the big images hmm, probably not the best matcap to show off.
