did a little sculpting practice and anatomy practice all at once! still trying to decide whether i want to use zbrush or mudbox as my main. I dig em both, but dom war is coming soon! any tips sculpting wise on brushes and whatnot is appreciated. on anatomy too, but I did use a ref image for this and I think it came out…
tried one of the speed sculpt things over at GA.. here's one result.. beh. just about an hour.. fighting with zsphere topo the whole time. gonna give it another go later. hope to do more of these soon.
Thanks for the feedback and advice AimBiZ! Definitely gonna use that as reference for some people sketching and sculpting, I need to get those forms memorized post haste! did a little environment sketch tonight based off a picture my mom took in new zealand: Thanks for looking!
Awesome sketchbook dude! Great seeing your progression over the years, the babe studies are really well done. A quick way for speed sculpting to eliminate that zphere topo trouble is early on hitting the ReMeshAll then ProjectAll in the subtool tab..it'll remake your mesh with evenly distributed polies in a pinch.
Really dig that sculpt you posted on post 84. Love the lines. post 95: the thing I miss the most is the shadow of your huge beard. It would have looked much more believable. But you made up in your last post :) that just looks awesome Keep them comming
did a head without ref for practice sculpting in general. I need to use ref next time for a head. I have SUCH a hard time with lips and especially eyes, and I think STARTING with ref will help with some of those issues. either way. thanks again guys. I think three in one day should be sufficient.
wizo - thanks! I really dig your work, dude. marl - yeah they do. for some reason I've just been really drawn to them lately. they're a lot of fun and it's cool trying to capture a likeness joe - thanks dude! it's fun and reinforces the basics of forms, really helps out later on. wish I had known about the planar brush…
