perhaps, but he still said it. It was a good respectful note to go out on--basically a 'Obama's my prez now too, and I'm gonna work with him in whatever he needs'
I'm always amazed at the close-mindedness of some people. Growing up in a military family (father army, vietnam vet, extended family all in a branch of the armed services) I was alway taught that the Canadian military was one to respect greatly.
Why don't they do this every week? It's damn good tv. Nice one Obama. Respect to McCain for bowing out gracefully and with dignity. Exciting times indeed. Fuck, its half five in the morning and I've gotta be up at 7. It's barely worth going to bed.
Interesting times for sure, and definetely an historical event. I for one do not like the idea of being taxed higher to help those that aren't doing anything to help themselves, as I was brought up to work hard and not ask for handouts. But I hope that with Obama in the White House, the country can mend and get us back on…
What bothered me when McCain conceded was the constant booing. I thought it was very classy/respectful the way McCain bowed out, yet while he talked about how they need to change current perspectives and work together, the crowd booed each time he mentioned Obama. wtf is wrong with his supporters? I swear they are bitter…
