Hey everyone, been struggling getting this piece modelled for days now, tried 12 times, trying to get it done with little to no shading errors or pinching, it's mainly that curve on the end that's giving me issues. I would appreciate some help. Thank you. Without SubD its 11k tris, with SubD its 186k Tris. Please view the…
You might get some "fitting" radiuses for two different sized circles with different amount of vertices repeated in this circular way. But as soon the radius changes because of the profile you have to be very lucky to get some fitting vertices... The green marked may fit; but the red ones don't and also may produce…
The point is - nice geometry (without triangles or ngons) and supporting edges as well PS Link for obj file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/r6aado30k9peoo2/111.obj?dl=0
No problem. I didn't realize that you were capping the bottom as well. :) I've updated my OBJ with the extra edge that I originally deleted. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/57293298/111-2.obj
Quick question: You have some margins in the UVs so that the normal map doesn't interfere with the neighbour faces ? The grey part seems to have no visible 90 degree edges (assuming 135) so its more visible on 90 degree on the blue.
hi... PROBLEM SOLVED...thx a lot guys...thx SIDK for the bend advice...and thx OSCRJHNSSN for that good tips felloe subdivs = 1.5 hub subdivs...my first goal was to avoid the concav thing on the inner part of the felloe...and u r right a wooden wheel is not as perfect as a metal wheel...so for the subdivs i think ill lower…
I need some advice from the SubD gurus out there. . . I've been struggling with the hood of this Lamborghini for a while now. The images on the left show the main problem area with smoothing errors. Any tips on how you would go about reinforcing the edges? I thought I struck gold when I saw Zigzter pose this same question…
Thanks for sharing that link! I watched the entire 1.5 hrs last night and I was really impressed that he focused on technique than, we're going to build a (fill in the blank) today. I also read a suggestion of posting my attempts... So I get closer to what I was aiming for when I started using a cylinder with many segments…
