Anyone knows how to make the nose for the F- 22 raptor? I'm trying adding support edges even with crease and opensubdiv but I can get it. Any help will really appreciated!! Thanks!!
Precisly Keyword for stuff that curve, Spacing! And i added enough geo, Because every side needs 2 supporting loops (+1 the one thats already there) 6*3 = 18. Did not like the spacing so i added 4 extra edges where there were to big spacing apart, so in total 22.
This is my result after about 5 attempts. Struggled to get the right amount of edges. I started off too high because I do want this to be a low-poly game model baked from a high poly but also didn't want it too low poly. Here it is with subdivision applied: The vertical cylinder has 36 sides, while the fatter side one has…
Made this for a buddy who is modeling a grip for a gun (http://rareantiqueandbeautifulfirearms.tumblr.com/post/85635956966/hafdasa-22-armator-sa-zonda-these-attractive) Start from a shallow cylinder, chop it in half to create the curve on either side, then edge extrude to follow the shape from side view, tweak a bit, and…
I am cool with it either way. I think having a dedicated thread makes it easier for more people to contribute. I can see how it could fail if we don't get enough people though. I have no problem with keeping the thread updated because I just need to keep the original post updated, and post a few pictures each week. The art…
So i got a PM from n88tr asking how i make cylinders inside of other shapes, so here are a few gifs: 1. Easy way to do what is shown in his example 2. Doing a cylinder inside of a box You'll notice i didnt make a full edge selection when i bridge here, sometimes modo likes to screw this sort of bridge operation up, so you…
@guitarguy00 In the previous example: the base sphere has 12 rings with 24 segments and the subtracted sphere has 22 rings with 28 segments. Both quad sphere and UV sphere intersections tend to produce topology that requires some additional clean up. Minor differences in scale and position often prevent the perfect…
