Hey Warby. Is that a 3D scene that you rendered out? Looking at it I can't help but feel that environment was constructed in 3D. You've captured a very illustrative feel, and some of the elements might have been illustrated in afterwords, but I can't shake the feeling that I'm seeing a rendering of a 3D scene. Either way,…
Illustration I'm currently working on. My drawing skills are not as great as I'd like, so I did a quickie to get an approximation of lighting and form. Its gonna get the Painter X treatment. :)
Keen, that's looks good but I think your lighting is letting you down. It's a bit flat and lacking in a good focal point. Now, where's Vig for a 3 page long example with illustrations and paintovers?
Hah, those are really cool. Nice style and colours... looks like a good style for children's books or advertising/illustration. Edit: Which, judging by your website, you already do... so, yeah... that explains that :)
Hehehehe Rens! shoulda spent another hour on it, damn the colours were hard... they look like yellow greens but theyre orange! D: Vitor; http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h91/Jackwhat/bridgman.jpg ^ Illustrates what im getting at
that's badass, BJA! I've personally never been a big fan of completely black outlines on illustrative 3d, though it may work best for this piece. I'd try making them a little less bold by letting some color leak through
hi! thx all vahl: it´s for this at the G-Star _ Seoul Game Show (I´m now allowed to post this) .. and because i wasn´t very happy with the final submitted images (as usual) I put this up.. I like it more if it has a touch of an illustration
worked on interactive cutaway rendering for medical illustration, as well as some shading fx for it oh yeah the effect is faster than the good ole vsync cap ;) it's not SSAO but shading is based on a cheaper technique, found at http://graphics.uni-konstanz.de/publikationen/2006/unsharp_masking/webseite/ and some custom…
Nice work Slaught. Speaking of eye shaders, does anyone know of a good way to go about doing them? The eyes I've done have always looked fake to me. I'll try to dig up some screen shots from some games that have nice eye shaders to better illustrate my point.
