1) No concussion grenades, about the only classes that can "rocket jump" are the demo, and soldier. 2) No more flame rockets, pyro comes equiped with a fire axe, a shotgun, and flamethrower. None of which have an alt fire. But once you set something on fire it stays on fire for a good long while, making it nice to finish…
I partial to the pyro myself. Not a good class to play on large, open maps but great fun in close quarters. Gotta' love sneaking around that distracted heavy and setting the medic on fire.
Disguised spies also show up as your name when you mouse over them. Its a safe bet if you see your name plate flash on the screen shoot, FF or not. A good spy will keep moving in a crowd, friendly or not. Its a reckless spy who goes toe to toe with an eng who is camping his turret. Unless your fast enough to stab the eng,…
The Spies can be pretty devestating just sewing seeds of mistrust amongst friendly players, particularly when friendly fire is active. Best use I've seen was in the second half of Gravel Pit (I think thats it) the entire red team were guarding the last point, a couple of heavies, grenadiers and engineers with a battery of…
The pyro class just seems useless, you have to slowly sap away at enemies, the least they could do is make some sort of screen effect that makes it harder to see when you're on fire, otherwise the pyro takes forever to kill you and you can kill him quickly.
Something we did in one of my first games was going a medic, with two other medics, and we all followed around one heavy and healed him. Even without ubercharge he was a damn beast and took a huge amount of fire as he cleared out a control point. One of the best classes to deal with a heavy is the demo man, move around a…
I love the pyro class. It works well in close spaces and in tunnels. You're also a eng's best friend for flushing out spies. Out in the open you're a sitting duck. I think the main thing to remember is that you have other weapons, light them on fire and if they back out of range, light em up with the shotty. Q is right…
[ QUOTE ] FF makes the spy super powerfull since now you just test fire on all friendlys to make sure they are not spys [/ QUOTE ] So how does FF make them powerful? IMO being able to shoot EVERYONE and find out who's a spy is pretty damn lame. At least they made the character models not emote damage, but its still a dumb…
