I find I'm most creative when I'm either by myself, or with one close friend, with water/tea at hand, and some good music. Often times I like to come up to work on the weekends when no one is here. full on agreed with you per, that pays your bills, that will get you further jobs, you are a human resource! Draw a tight concept, then model and texture it. Okay, now do this over and over and over and you will discover how all the other great artists improve.
