I wouldn't put them all into one big OBJ file, because then it's more effort to break off the one you want, orient it's origin in order to clone it around etc etc. Makes more sense to have each one as it's own OBJ file with their pivot at 0,0,0, with a screenshot like JKMakowka said.

For objects which are subdivided, I imagine it makes sense to just post the control cage mesh as a .OBJ? Then end-users can subdivide them to whatever level they want.
