Had to post this.. sitting there having lunch at home, look out the window and this guy is looking at us.. Taken with my not-so-fancy Canon 80-200. mm chromatic abberration

thanks guys, i guess the idea of the photo is fun, but the quality is extreemly bad. i mostly dump my photos in a folder and never look at them again, though i keep a hand full on my website, www.rensedeboer.com i inted to scrap 80% of the photos on there are replace them with better ones.
mhahaha one without leaves! specs, shutter 1/80 f 5,3 iso 250 240mm shot at 1 meter distance? this one might be better viewed at 1024 instead of 1200 pixels, but it goes well with the other one, since that is also 1200 guess ill scale the website version down a bit
pick up the 50mm 1.8($120 new), and look into the 75-300mm, you can find them for $100-175 on ebay. I've got a 75-300mm III USM sitting here, but I actually prefer the super cheap ass 80-200mm, because 300mm on a crop is ~ 480mm, and that is just excessive. The cheap 80-200mm is also light as hell and compact, which means…

Ive spend an hour between mice, from 30 cm away up to 2 meters, this took long, so even if they are used to some people walking by, sitting/standing still is really key to succes here. (meaning, besides your head, you do not moving…
Vcool: swapping it is easy, the instructions were a little tricky the first time, but i've since swapped them back and forth(if i want someone else to use the camera i'll throw the AF focus screen back in, otherwise people tend to get confused with the split prism). I got a cheap one on ebay, let me see if i can find it.…
Yeah i didn't mean to imply that you were... implying, that film was better than digital or anything like that, I just got a little carried away nerding out about this stuff! When it comes to Canon dSLRs this is what you really need to know: XXXD Series is the entry level, small uncomfortable bodies, not very good…
First off let say this, I've been using film and digital SLRs for about the same time(which is not long, and i am no expert) however, I feel this gives me a pretty balanced perspective on the pros/cons. I buy/sell film equipment on ebay in my spare time, so i've been forced to do quite a bit of research on various camera…
