Had to post this.. sitting there having lunch at home, look out the window and this guy is looking at us.. Taken with my not-so-fancy Canon 80-200. mm chromatic abberration
It's not the best pic, but yeah that's me. Sometimes I use that lens, sometimes I don't. It really depends on what I'm shooting at the time. The lens in that pic is a 70-200 2.8. I also use a 35L and a 100 2.8L macro.
I'm a sucker for skies. On campus today. And yea, I tried taking a pic with 1/200 sec exposure time, but it was still unresolved. It was probably because the blue sky around is bright in itself. I'll try taking a pic during the night.
Most people here are using $200-1000 cameras, with $100-500 lenses. Paul and Ben have thousands in gear =P You can get started with a dSLR+lens in the $350-500 range. Take a look here: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=79655
Poop, I was using a 400 Agfa Vista in that set, expired film (07/07) (because you can get them cheapish). was going to put in a 200, lucky really as the zoo I was at was quite low light anywyas and so I was having to use hand shake noticeable shutter speeds (fortunately I have a steady hand).
