This is an interesting one cause I think at the time it was fairly advanced. Alone in the Dark 1, circa 1992...it had pretty decent pixel-painted backgrounds with like first generation 3D poly characters. I don't even think they had texture maps...just vertex colors. I'm pretty sure it was also the first "survival horror"…
