Looks like they've got a ways to go yet. They're going to need much more sophisticated interfacing with the body before they become really viable, at least in the fancy futuristic sci-fi sense. I'd imagine to get any kind of fine motor skills they'll need to be able to read electrical impulses from nerve signals. Seems…
