Hi guys, I was really busy at work this summer, so my progress on the FullBlast project was really slow. Here you can see a couple of models more for this game and I'll post soon pictures of the next levels showing the art of the new tileset :) full thread of this project here.
P-51 "Bronco" for Sky Rogue, from Summer 2019. Target platforms were PC, Switch and Xbox One; so my base line was low end PCs and Switch. I took special care to mask the extra polygons with hard edges so the higher density meshes still looked good with the earlier low poly models from 2013/2014.
A polygonal remake of the whole game would be pretty cool. Given the gameplay and art assets are on the minimal side it'd probably be a pretty manageable project. It could be one just as easily if you cut the midline for mirrored UVs of the second face (assuming you're not using flip-tiling of some sort) a bit to the side, but yeah, that could look nice redone at a square resolution; I can't remember, did the iPhone not care about weird texture sizes or something?
