my handpainted texture practice i did during a workshop week by Mighty Pea (lantern model (128²) door jeroen tavernier, treetrunk (128²) by Peter Paul Milkain and the bridge/surface (256²) and all the textures by me)
Here's a little building I've been texturing for a collaborative project, it's not quite done. and I've got another 6 building to go, and a pile of some small vehicles, and a few bridges... I'll probably post those after I finish them.
So I got craking and built the bridge piece. Got it all textured now just have to light it. Tips/critiques all welcome. Things still to do: Light the scene Make 2 more sprites (1 character and 1 enemy) Make the interface
Ears look a little high to me. Also, I'd bring the lips forward a bit to make them jut out more, and add an edge loop across the nose between the eyes and bring it in the make the bridge. Other than that, looking SO much better than the first. Great to hear you're speeding up.
Thanks man! I didn't attach the nose because I figured it would be an easy way to make a bolder silhouette while saving on polys. I can try attaching it, though, if you think it's really weird. I kinda liked the way the shadows were sharper near the bridge of the nose due to it not being attached, but I can definitely see…
Neovirtu: instead of joining all the vertices by hand, try selecting rough clump near the seam where 2 halves meet and hit Weld, that should only combine verts that are very close to one another. At least I hope your application has this :'D To put 2 elements together, sometimes it is easier to delete the face that the…
