Old arcade stand-up game. Probably circa late 1980s. The main character and the brief back story is a blatant Conan rip-off. It is a side-scroller where you play as a barbarian type with a sword. One of the power-ups was a flaming sword that you could pick-up that would shoot fireballs when you swung it. I believe that the…
we used to have the Rastan machine when i was a kid. Last level sucked because no matter how many credits you had when you lose your lives game over, first level. ghey also i believe this game is included in the Capcom arcade collectiont hat just came out a few weeks ago
holy crap, I've been looking for that game as well, I used to hum the theme music all the time as a kid. Was there an enemy in Rastan that wore armor only on the front of his body therefore forcing you to attack his undefended (and naked) back? That kind of weirded me out.
ya that game ruled! i remember that game from when i was in first grade.. there used to be an arcade machine in a gas station in between my house and the school and i always wanted to play it but never had any money. i can't remember much when i was little, but i remember that.
If you every try to finish that game get ready for disappointment, you can't continue on the last level so if you die enjoy restarting the whole game over again just to try the last level again. Oh yeah and Rastan 3 is not much like the first at all but was still fun to finish.
RASTAN ROCKS!!! i remember how it scared the shit out of me as a kid, playing it on the arcade machines damn i was hooked on that stuff.. i finished it a while ago on some emulators. not an easy game!! but well worth the time, even just for the cheap end gfx.
Like the 3D guy i too had the cabinet in my garage. that game really rocked, the soundtrack was especially badass. That brings back memeories. I used to have that one, Gunsmoke, Black tiger, Rolling Thunder 1 and 2, Vigialnte, and a bunch of others. Wish I had a garage like that now...
