gimpshop runs on windows, too. there must have been a download link from the author's blog somewhere. i had it running for a short period of time and may still have the binary somewhere. bottom line: gimp is different from photoshop in so many ways, halfway identical menu structure and shortcuts doesn't help that much to… -

Grindy: I think that PS layout only worked with Gimp on OS X. Not sure though.. -

You're right. And I believe there is a Linux version as well, which is awesome. http://plasticbugs.com/index.php?p=241 There could be a Windows version if a developer were to compile it.
