I agree that some sites really spend too much effort on presentation. Pet peeves are sites that work in a tiny portion of the screen. In portifolio sites such as mine, that have splash pages, before entering the main site (and I plan to put a good image on my splash page) should a direct link to a the gallery be wise? Or if the splash page has a picture of the person's best work, is it better to show that to employers, then they click into the gallery?…
