Johnny those (i think) are rolled edges on the armor. They are probably there to give a sense of realism (plate armor with rolled edges was/is much safer) not so much as a decorative detail. they aren't supposed to be big.
I would suggest vitor, not going so extreme on the muscles of the face. try a litle more subtle. its kind of getting there, but needs a that little extra degree of realism check these out for reference http://www.antropus.com/
Yeah I though about that too... but since Sauerbraten is a completely unrealistic game I though I would give the improved siluette more weight than some stupid realism (But the lower two barrels have a heatsink )
Kinda went the opposite on my plan for realism...but I sat up for 5 hours wonding how the hell I could make a damn pokemon look real..oh well, heres what I got so far.
Looking great Jeremy price! I know its still a wip but don't forget to give the inside walls of those tires some lovin. also when you're done it would be cool to see some sag on the bottom of the tire where it sits on the ground for that extra realism.
they upped the polycount quite a bit (its now 3000-3250 up from 2000-2250) after re-evaluating their engine. about the non-realism, that was mentioned in the reply i got from them. i tried to make it realistic, but just goes to show i need to practice more
