@Noth I'd say it depends on what you want to achieve ; I often use retopo just to draw polygons and refine an existing shape by adding it as a detail, it's especially useful when doing hardsurface. @Neox all good! happy to learn about what other softwares are doing well. I also have Taubin soothing for volume preservation, along with a seperate tangent normal based relax. @pior hah! great minds think alike, when I said above "I'm working on something else atm", I meant just that. There's a lot of shared plumbing between the two features as you might imagine, I'm hoping to have the add part working tonight then I can look at the reduce/collapse. :D
