Well , speaking of current procedure to do anything in Blender . It's IMO asking chatGPT or rather its Codex to write you an automated addon that would do exactly what you want. But it still might include a proper explanation for main GPT how you want the things working . So requires certain understanding. The old way :…
I would use floaters for small details like this, if the goal is to bake textures onto a lower-resolution in-game mesh. If high-res modeling is the deliverable, then you could simply sculpt the divot behind the nail, and keep the nail as its own separate mesh node.
I use Substance Painter and sometimes Designer . SPainter has a nice name matching system to avoid the pain of cage tweaking . So the baking rays doesn't return hi poly object normals or other properties beyond two matching pieces like when you bake normal map on a finger and getting other fingers projected too. It…
Hmmm, not sure, but I don't think so. You have to accept that Blender is very different from ZBrush (which is very good, but very narrow in its specialization) and some things just can't be recreated in the exact same way. When you set up Numpad 5 to invert, you probably needed to set it to "Numpad 5 + Mouse Click". This…

Also I swear I gave a fair try to the default controls, but they where driving me crazy... xD I was feeling paralyzed using those. I haven't changed…
Hello ! My setup is highly customized, in part inspired by habits from both Max and Maya while also keeping it compatible with Blender unique systems (like the off-hand manipulation discussed above). I started by first using the default keys and navigation for a while, then modified them manually to have Maya-style…
