I don't think its about being prettier, its the fact that they had an actor and chose not to go with a scan for reasons of budget or maybe they just approached the development process backwards. Or they really felt that the version of Kay they created seemed more authentic to the character of an outlaw, but some elements… -

Thats (among others) another great post and analysis. And the Nose? easy! The cartilaginous framework and growth changes + depending how she lives + simply aging means a differently shaped nose can easily happen. Like Fighting for example... and healing a broken nose. (okay that one is easy) Dorsal humps can also happen… -

I didn't say the trailer didn't have to copy Akira, I meant that it didn't feel aesthetically inspiring to me because the trailer doesn't really excite me for whats to come. The game certainly requires a suspension of disbelief then again it is a video game so that's to be expected. And stories in star wars aren't always meant to be taken seriously like Star Trek or the Expanse. I still do feel those gameplay decisions are odd and do wonder what led to them. My addressing her character design was on topic, I was saying that in the grand scheme of things the game had other problems that are causing it to underperform. Kinda feel it would have helped in this games case, but with Kay Vess it is a very peculiar case since generally one assumes that going with a scan over a modification is more sensible since its far less risk. There is no information on the visual target for that model (photo reference moodboard), only discourse about… -

With intergalatic, once the game comes out we'll know more about the character and why they went with that design. Oh god no, not that inverted sheep shearing hand-piece technique - secret is finishing off with a electric (battery) foil shaver which comes in rather handy after wearing face cam under 36°heat in arid environs for ages.
