a person can start anywhere in unreal when making a game..I started with Gore system....but ideally really.....a person should first build the data server first before anything else.
and if you work at an office and thinking shooting the place up with a gun.....Dont do that....... you will likely goto prison for a very longtime of just killed... The best answer in handling a large group of people who are refusing to see things correctly is this.. eat lots of laxative....walk into the office start…
I like the fact that you have made all this effort on your own. I knew a guy back in the 90's did the same thing, ie coding artwork etc takes a lot of guts and effortlooking good so far, maybe start a games company :)
Got the basic data system setup. The deathmatch system is a warzone. Players pick is they want to work alone or on a team during the match. 3 sides players can be Good Cops, Bad Cops and Bounty Hunters. Bounty Hunters are independent and at any time can trade sides. got the toon shader done and working with all the lighting. I have strategy and workflow for this game's look. Basically I have created atoon shder with all the controls I need but has no color. Instead of coloring each object I will just "paint with lights". My toon shader is designed to work with the Unreal lighting…
Next, I'm putting in the jump roll, or dash, trace system....after that I can start considering taking off a week from work and do push week to getting it all done.
Got the system in and working. Chaos collection are currently buggy and may have to use an actor wrapper workaround to prevent crashes. Will take another solid day to put the bow tie on this system and get back to completing the game. This is the hardest system to build because it's entirely about "what is" the best…
