i guess the fallacy is already in calling current gen image generators "AI". they are image generators much like chat gpt is a text generator. they can not understand because they do not think, but they are really good, no great at pretending and guessing the statistically most plausible answer.
I go a step farther. I don't believe the generative ai itself is capable of this. The hallucinations it generates are a feature of the way it has processed information. It's not that a future generative ai will be able to make good hands every time. It's that a hand is something an ai fundamentally cannot understand
I'm personally not against AI-powered tools that aims to make an artist's work easier. Clip Studio Paint has a bunch of tools like generating shadows and other stuff I forgot about. Even though they're wonky and don't work on most artstyle, I can see myself using such tools. For the autodesk AI shape thingy, it could be…
Looks like this Daz3d AI is just an image generator . One more. For cool looking pictures you would do what? Screenshot based "Find a thing" phone game ? Are they still profitable?Midjourney can at least generates something interesting looking sometimes and this one would do indistinguishably same clones.
"Fully AI-generated games in 5-10 years says Mr RTX Nvidia Jensen". https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/gpus/rtx-off-ai-on-jensen-says-well-see-fully-ai-generated-games-in-5-10-years?lid=c2mxkcbxpyi9 This is what I said at the top of page 9, you heard it on Polycount first.
lol. An over-generalization to be sure, but it does have a decent ring of truth to it. I am particularly amazed at former colleagues of mine who constantly use and trumpet generative ai on social media (like LinkedIn) even though I know they are skilled 3d artists in their own right. I get that they want to stay on top of…
Just because the AI can generate more generic art at a faster pace doesn't make it a problem. If anything that means there will be less human art, which increases human art rarity and will allow for them to stand out better.
Artstation kpop-music-video Ariel-- I personally don't see the appeal. It's quite possibly the most generic looking thing I've lately seen. A cool enough thought experiment, but that's the extent of it to my mind. If you like the look of the original, watch the original.
