have you recently upgraded or re-installed maya LT? if it's having problems with python then my best guess would be that it's a problem with the UV unwrap tools as they use python. Have you checked if the DLL is actually on your machine? -

Every time I boot up Maya 2018 LT and try to open a scene I get a pop up about a fatal error which crashes maya. i then try to open my scene by clicking on it directly but I get a pop up telling me that I'm missing something called python27.dll. A DLL is a file. You can find your maya directory (c:/program files/autodesk/maya) and search for the filename. -

Never mind. I just updated Maya and it seems the problem has fixed itself. -
