Cyberpunk 2077 animated screens
How do they achieve such awesome looking animated screens?? Are they Gif based?? How do they make it look like the screen has depth/layers of animated parts? I don't want you to take a bunch of time to type a book telling me exactly how it is done but can someone provide a super brief explanation and maybe point me in the… -

In order to create these kinds of animations you'll probably want to look into compositing software: Nuke, Fusion, After Effects. The keyword to look for is motion graphics. -

Thanks @thomasp I'll check it out, I've seen these animations made with After Effects but I never understood how you could transfer that to be in-game, I'll do a thorough search on it -

parallax offset in a shader would be the more efficient way - that's certainly how it was handled on title's ive worked on in the past -

@Kanni3d Thanks for the reply, I could see how that would give it the depth, that's crazy.... I need to start learning this right now... Which software do you think they use to create such alpha gifs and effects? you think they use photoshop or Illustrator or some other software? -

My best guess would be it's simply just a realtime camera looking at a bunch of planes with alphas/translucency and effects :smile:
