Sorry you are having problems. Bone Edit Mode is just a shortcut for Don't Affect Children in the Hierarchy Panel. Try checking if that toggle is available press.
Okay I got it to happen again. Created a new bone chain consisting of two bones. I got to edit the bone placement using the Bone Edit Mode and it is grayed out. I go to the Hierarchy panel and the Don't Affect Children option is grayed out as well.
Hey monster, I wasn't able to replicate the bug for an entire day at work. So I will attempt again tomorrow. It may have been some weird fluke, I don't know. I might try it at home again today as well. Will let you know if anything comes up/.
That fixed it, thank you. I will update, if it occurs again without auto key enabled. I cannot remember if I had it turned on when it first occurred. It would make sense though.
