Yeah I have noticed I started to feel annoyed looking at portfolios that is not artstation portfolios. Also me as well as many others do most of their artist searches on Artstation.
You can have you site/domain linked to you artstation portfolio. I did that and now when some one goes to my site - artstation folio appears. Email is still linked to my site

main traffic goes to artstation for sure and the job offers mostly come from there but my webspace is pretty inexpensive so i'm keeping it. comes in handy sometimes. also: CGHub. ;)
I ditched the personal website about 4 years ago and haven't looked back. Didn't get much traffic mind you, but ArtStation is just so much easier to manage.
