Hey man, You're allowed to use any rig as long as it isn't copyrighted or ripped from another game so go wild! The animation will be judged on the animation quality and creativity and not on the model/rig that you use. Good luck!
Hey, for the animation contest it does not have to be based on a pre-existing champion but shouldn't be too far from something that could be in League of Legends so keep this in mind when animating. Its mostly about the creativity and quality of the animation.
No offence guys i know i'm a stiff, but the character thread looks like a mess. Only one participant was able to start his thread/topic with a proper naming so far. ( [RIOT CREATIVE CONTEST 2017] bla bla - blub blub) 100 Points to "Miguel CBT". Why are all the other threads proper?
Once the contest starts all you have to do is create a new topic in this thread ( RIOT CREATIVE CONTEST 2017 ) with the name of the character and/or category you have chosen, and just keep it updated with your progress. Not sure if they will make sub threads for each categories - For now just wait for the official contest…

Many thanks, Sillyg00se We're looking for entries that are geared towards video games, not…

" 1. has mentioned I set the camera rotate X = 55 and the angle of view (FOV)= 40 is this right? (my latest playblast:…
I know the contest creators don't need anyone defending them, but I've been stalking for a while and I gotta admit... The negativity is killing the vibe. I'm still eagerly awaiting announcements, but can you at least calm yourself and take a look at the situation as a whole? For starters, contests aren't a granted right.…
Hi! For the VFX part of the competition I've read the rules here: http://polycount.com/discussion/193132/vfx-guidelines but I had three questions I just wanted to confirm the answers to! 1.) If I am creating a Hextech Xayah ultimate may I lift the attacking orb into the air as long as it stays within the static camera FOV?…
i have used a mesh ripped from the league of legends game for the animation category that i skinned using biped in 3ds max. The competition rules says doing this isn't advised but not actually stated not to do this. Will my entry still be valid? cheers! You wouldn't get any bonus points for it being a League character so…
