For example a Beam Emitter. Seen thousand times and not really helpful anymore. What about more advanced stuff. I think its more a try…
Eat 3D Has a particle[cascade] masterclass that i happen to come across. Originally done in UDK but I managed in UE4 with no trouble. Just let me know if youd like to check it out.

Oh by the way, when it comes to effects, you can rarely find something cool and awesome... And you just wonder how professionals create awesome looking effects like they do... But they are for the most part created in designed Effects software's, Photoshop, or 3Ds Max, then in your case, the FX editor and material editor…
What do you want to learn? I'm just finishing up a basic/intermiediate course in VFX creation using Houdini and Unreal. If you throw me a couple of ideas for what sort of advanced effects (other than what you already mentioned) I can start planning something :) Other than that, realtimevfx.com is the place to ask.
