Agreed, the art you used as reference had more detailed shapes then the model you made. You do have the dedication to model so I would advise to follow some tutorials, the one posted above seems really good Im going to try that tutorial as well. -

It's extremely blocky and not very appealing to look at. When you speed model, you get better at speed modeling, not making better models which is what you should be doing.
